Working student in UX design - an interview with Shiyu

In this blog post, we talk to Shiyu, who is a working student in the UX design team at empiriecom. In the interview, she talks about her experiences and what she particularly enjoys about her work.
Hi Shiyu, would you like to introduce yourself?
I am studying Usability Engineering for my Master's degree and am currently working as a student trainee in UX design.
How long have you been with us?
I have been working as a student trainee at empiriecom since October last year.

How did you join the BAUR Group?
I came to the BAUR Group via empiriecom.
What are your tasks and what do you like doing best?
My main tasks are UXUI design and project support. I prefer to work on the design of user-friendly interfaces because I enjoy working creatively. I can also use knowledge from my studies directly here. And what I learn here helps me in my studies. It's a perfect fit!
Which task have you found the most challenging so far? Were you able to master it well?
I was supposed to help move all the projects from Zeplin to Figma. That was new for me. And I now understand our projects and processes much better.
What do you always have at your workplace?
I always have my laptop, notebook and pen with me. This allows me to record ideas immediately and work flexibly.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
I also really like my team! Everyone is open and helpful. In our weekly meetings, I can not only learn technical skills, but also improve my German. The team always supports me.
